Recently though, I met a group of folks who are doing some interesting things to help us apply the laws of attraction to our daily lives, in concrete ways that don't leave you scratching your head. Terah is a group of non-physical beings whose intent is to help those of us trying to understand the laws of the Universe. They teach by speaking through translators like Nina and others who have done the work that enables them to consciously move aside and allow the words to flow. I've had the privilege of joining in on a couple of their events (before they unveiled this to the public) and have found the information to be really practical in my day-to-day life. Sometimes, as I've read and learned things about the Law of Attraction, I've found myself frustrated at how exactly to apply the teachings, wondering what I'm missing. This group is changing that, with a nice, down-to-earth approach that utilizes things I learned in my former corporate career and blends them with new thought theory (which really isn't very new!). To quote from their Facebook page once more: The Law Of Attraction: We attract into our experience that which we give our energy, focus or attention- whether wanted or unwanted. The corollary to this is The Law Of Self-Determination: Only you determine what flows to you. No-body and no-thing can assert into your experience that for which you are not a vibrational match. This message is an ancient one and yet it's a message that many of us have forgotten. It has simplicity and power. It offers us direction as we sometimes dance and sometimes struggle with the contrast that makes up our life on earth. Understanding these laws and developing the Practice of Visualization and the Practice of Allowing, are the keys to manifesting our dreams, and experiencing freedom, growth and joy. I hope you'll give these good folks a look. They're bringing together some very gifted facilitators who offer ongoing workshops that truly make a difference and help you shift into the life you envision. Sophia: If indeed these are to be holy days for you and yours, it may take a bit of focusing on that which you are grateful for, rather than that which you see lacking. The spirit of these days has little to nothing to do with being able to afford to purchase things and gift them to others, though certainly you can do that if you enjoy it and are doing so freely. Rather, a holy day is one in which you feel joy, connection, gratitude and love, and in that state of being, share yourself with your family and friends. Find your inspiration simply from that which brings you joy. It might come from the smile of your grandchild who sees only perfection when she looks at you. It could be from a simple connection to your natural surroundings, which brings peace to your mind and relief to your physical self. Perhaps your joy will arise from something you create which reminds you of the greatness you carry within. Or it might simply come from the bond you share with others when you break bread together. The gifts of human life are many, and those that cost you nothing financially are especially valuable and to be revered. One of the meanings of "holiday" is: of or pertaining to a festival; festive; joyous. Let this be a holiday season in which you celebrate and embrace your joy and which, regardless of personal circumstances, you share with others. Come together with family and friends and be festive. Give yourself a holiday, a break from what you may perceive as troubling in the world, and simply allow yourself to be joyous. Count your blessings...and then watch them multiply.
